While we were in Utah my amazing sister, Jenni, wanted to take some pictures of our our little family. She has started a new photography business and she is UH MAY ZING!!!
Here is her photo blog...

We were playing at the Park City outlet mall and she thought it would be a great idea to take pics in the center of the parking lot by the playground in a foot of snow! Turns out she was right! We had so much fun and she made the five of us look so good : ) LOVE these Pics and LOVE our Jenni! THANK YOU!!!

Christmas... Bowman Style!

The day has FINALLY COME!!! We have been losing our minds with excitement and anticipation for months! Now it's time to get on a plane and go to GRANDMA'S HOUSE!!! Sorry Papa I know it's your house too : ) The kids were so excited to take an airplane ride! They were NOT as excited to wait in the airport for hours for our very delayed flight. Bailey was freaking OUT she was so excited to get on the plane! During the flight she was sipping out of her sprite (which she rarely drinks) and then her water and saying "Bubbly... <sip>...Not Bubbly...<sip>" back and forth. It was a riot. And then, she sugar and excitement crashed HARD! The kids all slept the last half of the flight and then we were greeted by Papa, Andy & Jenni at the airport!!! We stayed up way too late talking, big shocker, and then woke up the next morning to GO MEET BABY ARI!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! We drove to Brigham City and had lunch with Stef, Kayla, James and CHUBBY CHEEKS!!! I swear she is the cutest thing in the whole world! I could NOT get enough of her! I was tough and didn't cry like a little wussy baby when I held her for the first time... LIES! I couldn't stop the tears!

We couldn't wait very long to see the other Bowman's so Mike & Sharon met us at our favorite pizza joint, Frederico's. Stef, Micah and the crew came too! We had a blast shooting the breeze and goofing off. The kids just love Mike & Sharon. McKenzie even got to do an uncle mike flip like when she was a toddler. She is WAY to big for that lol. That night we went on a double date with Vive & Giege. It was so fun to be complete idiots and act like little kids. We even hit up Village Idiot (VIllage Inn) for pie at midnight like teenagers. The next morning the sad reality hit... we are WAY too old for that stuff.

Sunday was a wonderful day! We went to church then did what Bowmans do best, relax and eat! We got lots of snuggles with baby Ari, played puzzles, painted nails, colored with Jenni and made treats with Grandma! I SO miss days like this!

Monday was a BIG DAY! Grandma and Papa spoiled us rotten and got us all first class tickets on the Heber Valley Creeper, aka The Polar Express!!! We kept it a secret from the kids and they had NO idea what to expect. It was truly a day that none of us will ever forget! We made some amazing memories together. We got to sing songs with the elves, eat Mrs. Clauses' chocolate chip cookies, drink hot chocolate and we even got a surprise visit from the big man himself! I will never forget the look on the kids' faces when Santa showed up right next to them on the train! THANK YOU Grandma & Papa for an unforgettable time!

Tuesday was Christmas Eve so of course we headed to Mike & Sharon's for some Bowman family tradition! We even got to bring Grandma Buttars along with us! Fun! We got to meet not-so-baby Mack for the first time! Man that kid is SO FLIPPING CUTE! Of course I suck and didn't get any pictures of him : ( We were so happy to see almost everyone in the Bowman clan! We miss everyone like crazy! We had a wonderful night. We ate a ton (shocker!), did crafts, played legos, talked for hours and even played some guitar and sang a bit! McKenzie sang "Dig Two" with me. Not quite sure how everyone felt about my seven-year-old singing "Won't be whiskey, won't be meth, it'll be your name on my last breath" LOL but it was pretty hilarious! Another Christmas Eve Bash at the Bowman's for the history books!

I just LOVE this picture. I stole it from Jenni. I am so grateful for such an incredible family and the opportunity to take a four generation picture of my Bowman boys! Tugs at this mamma's heart strings for sure!

Time to head home to open JENNI JAMMIES and sibling gifts before Santa comes! We read about Jesus' birth and even sang some Christmas songs with Grandma on the piano and Papa singing a solo! Great memories feeling the spirit as a family learning about our Savior!

IT'S CHIRSTMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!
Morning came and 5 out of the 6 grandkiddos were all geared up and ready to open presents at 6:30am. Poor McKenzie was far from it. She caught a stomach bug and was throwing up and sobbing all night long. She kept saying "This is going to be the worst Christmas EVER!" My heart just broke for her. I hate being a mom and not being able to fix things in an instant for my kids. She sucked it up and came up stairs to see what Santa brought. then she snuggled with Grandma, too week to open any other presents and passed out on the couch for hours. SO sad! Santa brought just what the kids wanted as always. Kenz got a new camera, B got Skylanders Swapforce for the wii (that we don't even own lol), and Bailey got "lipstick and nail polish" and was the happiest dang kid on the planet! The kids all got spoiled ROTTEN by Grandma, Papa, Great Grandma Buttars, Stef, Micah, Andy, & Jenni. McKenzie eventually woke up and felt good enough to have her own present opening party since the other kids tore through theirs hours before.

Sooooooo MY favorite present of the day? THIS ONE! A NEW NIECE OR NEPHEW COMING SOON!!! Jenni & Andy gave this to Jim & Juanita for Christmas. They passed it around the room and we were all bawling and jumping up and down and yelling "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" SO EXCITED!!! They are going to make one cute kid and they will be incredible parents!

Something different this year... Grandma Buttars stayed with us for Christmas! It was so much fun having her there! My kids can't get enough of Great Grandma! She is just amazing! I am so grateful we got to spend so much time with her and that we made some great memories together!

More fun Christmas day pics...

The next day we took off to have some adventures shooting guns & riding the 4-wheeler with the Jensen clan! It was SO FLIPPING COLD but oh so much fun! P.S. Jenni is a Bad A!

Once the adults cleared out it was time for the kids to try out their new toys! Braxton got to shoot his new BB Gun and Kenz got to learn how to shoot her new bow & arrow set! Katniss Everdeen I am not but it sure was fun. Thanks Jensens for a super awesome time!

A huge highlight of our trip was that we got to be there for baby Ari's blessing! Micah's parents held the blessing and luncheon at their house. There were so many people there to support Stef & Micah and their sweet family. It was so wonderful! Ari looked like a little angel! We were so grateful to be a part of such a special day for the Garbanati's!

The whole Bowman Bunch with sweet baby Ariana!

The night before we had to leave we had one last order of business before leaving Cache Valley... We had to Pop some PINS BABY!!! Always a good time Bowman Bowling!

Now it was time to say goodbye. This is always the WORST part of a trip. Heart breaking! We were happy we got to go by the Garbs and hang out and give them one more hug before we got on the plane.

I know this blog post is ridiculously long but can you blame me? We packed SO much fun into this trip. We made so many memories and had an absolutely amazing time. We love you all and miss you like crazy. Thank you for making this one of the best Christmas weeks EVER!!!

Icy Texas!

TEXAS TIME!!! We were sad that Rich had to stay behind and work last minute but we decided to make the trip just me and the kids. This was my first solo trip anywhere with the kids driving over 2 hours. We made it there in about 9. Thanks to McDonalds, the iPad and multiple cell phones the trip went great! Bailey discovered a love for peeing on the side of the road and Kenz discovered she gets car sick if she reads. But then she swears she is fine and reads again because "this book is SOOOO good mom!!!" and gets even more sick. Just glad she didn't turn into a Barfing Bookworm!

We got to the new, awesome house on Monday night and played with Grandma, Pa Pa & Matthew. On Tuesday we "worked" on the tree lots. The kids absolutely loved it! Braxton dove right in and was trying to help customers and load trees. He was cracking me up. It's just in his blood : ) On Wednesday we were Pa Pa's chauffeurs checking on the tree lots and running errands. Pa Pa took us out to lunch at Chick-fil-A and we had a great day! Thursday the kids played with Ragen and Hunter while Sarah and I were "Gettin' It" at Lifetime Fitness. Afterwards we had lunch and played at Mike & Sarah's house. We headed home early to beat the storm. Storm is right! I have NEVER seen that much ICE! It was absolutely crazy! We were stuck! We planned on leaving on Saturday but couldn't even get out of the driveway until TUESDAY! Yah - it was that bad! The kids loved playing on the giant ice skating rink that was my parent's yard. We found all kinds of treasures frozen outside. It was so cool! The ice turned all the plants into popsicles! We were missing Rich really bad but I am grateful we got to stay because Faye, Melissa & COLTON came on Sunday night!!! We didn't think we would get to see them after their flights got messed up in the beginning of the week. I can't tell you how great it was to hold my sweet nephew for the first time! He is so stinking cute and I could not get enough of him - neither could my kids : ) It was so great to see Faye and Melissa, too! We miss them so much!!! The kids had a blast playing and having a sleepover. Finally the ice thawed and we had to head home. It was bittersweet since we were ready to see daddy but we knew it would be a LONG time till we would see Mitchy's sweet family again. Life sucks sometimes. I am just grateful for the time that we did get to spend with Grandma, Pa Pa, Matthew, Mike, Sarah, Ragen, Hunter, Faye, Melissa, & Colton. Thanks you guys for an awesome time! We love you and can't wait to see you all again soon!!!

Bailey Bugger's Birthday!!!

WHAT? SHE IS THREE ALREADY? NOOOOOO!!!

Every Birthday I blog about how big they are getting but THEY ARE DANGIT! IT SUCKS!

Bailey's birthday was on a Sunday this year so she got to pick a family night out the night before. She picked Chuck E. Cheese...   : O (That is my sarcastic shocked face) We had a blast as always. Braxton and McKenzie were so sweet. They gave her their prize tickets so she could buy a princess crown. If you know my kids, that was a HUGE sacrifice LOL! The next day we went to church and I couldn;t resist taking some pictures of the kids all dressed up. Bailey was all about it of course, Braxton... not so much, but he sucked it up and smiled. We had a great day making her cake, relaxing, riding her NEW MINNIE MOUSE BIKE, opening presents and eating the nastiest pink cake and pink ice cream I have ever tried! Seriously... it went in the trash the next day. Oh well, it made her so stinking happy to make her own cake.

Happy birthday to our sweet little baby girl... I mean BIG girl : ( We love you so much!

I am trying something new for this blog post... a slide show! I really like how it turned out : )
Here it is...

Gobble, Gobble, MOO, MOO?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

For the first time in a while we had our own little family of 5 Thanksgiving. We missed having family here but we made the best of it. Rich said, "Let's just do it simple this year." This idea quickly evolved into the following...

Lunch: Prime Rib, Garlic Mashed Potatoes and all the fixins! Oh my HEAVENS! UHHHHMAZING!!!
I love Rich's Before, During and After Regret pictures : )

Dinner: Home Smoked Turkey and a full Thanksgiving spread!
The missionaries in our ward got permission to watch football on Thanksgiving so where do they end up? Our place of course! They joined us for the Cowboys game and dinner! We stuffed oursleves silly as always.

Little Models!

I have a great friend here in St. Louis who is ridiculously talented! She has her own online boutique business that sells hand-made accessories like bubblegum necklaces, hats, headbands, etc. They are so stinking cute and so is she!!! She asked if she could take some pictures of my girls wearing her gear for her website. Heck yes! FUN!!! While she did a little photo shoot with the girlies I did all my Christmas shopping for all my neices from my kitchen table! SCORE! McKenzie and Bailey had so much fun! Ever since then bailey can't take a picture without popping her hip and giving a model "glare" lol. They loved it! As if this experience wasn't cool enough, my friend is working her tail off making and selling these accessories to help raise money so they can adopt their third little Marshallese baby! Her other two beautiful kiddos, Grant and Emory, were adopted and now she and her sweet hubby have the opportunity to adopt Grant's sibling when he/she is born in March! Super cute stuff for sale that benefits an amazing family! McKenzie and Bailey have their pics on the site now. Check it out...

Spoiled Buggy

Sometimes I feel guilty as I go through my pictures because I have so many of Bailey Bug. The big kids are in school and I get to hang out with her all day every day. Plus she is ridiculously silly and cute so that naturally leads to many more photos than the other kids get. Can you blame me? She does, however, have a hard time smiling when I tell her too. I usually get crazy faces. Oh well, what can you do? We get to have all kinds of adventures like gymnastics story time, the Magic House, and playing with great friends! I am so grateful that I get to stay at home with my little spoiled buggybug : )

Birthday B!

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY BRAXTON!!!

I can't believe my baby boy is so stinking BIG!

Bailey and I brought him his favorite lunch in the entire world... McDonalds (big gross shocker) and we brought Angry Birds cupcakes to share with his class.

This year we weren't going to do a friend party but Rich suggested he just have a few friends over and have some pizza and hang out. I thought that was a great idea. Here is what REALLY went down. We invited a few kids and then the list kept growing. He didn't want to leave anyone out or hurt anyones feelings. In the end 12 boys were invited. It was a weeknight, school night AND it was Parent Teacher Conferences for every single boy that was invited. I figured no more than half would RSVP. Right? WRONG! Our "have a few friends over" party turned into a dozen 6-year-olds! They had an absolute blast though and Braxton could not have bene happier! He was spoiled ROTTEN by all his buddies. We had pizza and cake and played life-size Angry Birds. Then they spent the rest of the time chasing eachother around and wrestling... boys will be boys!

Happy Birthday B! We love you so much and we are so grateful you are ours! You are such a sweet brother and a caring friend. We are so proud of you!

School Pictures

I HATED school pictures when I was a kid... I had a bad experience in elementary school when my mom made me sleep in sponge rollers for picture day and I had a legit white afro! I looked like a blonde Little Orphan Annie after she had been eletrocuted! Thank goodness my kids like picture day more than I did. School pictures always crack me up... you only get one shot which leads to some goofy, deer-in-headlights looks lol. Here are this year's gems : )

Baby you a song...

DATE NIGHT!!!
It had been WAY too long since Rich and I went to a concert together. We love live music but it's so hard now that we have kids to get away for that long. Rich took the bull by the horns and bought us tickets to Florida Georgia Line! We had such a blast! It reminded us of our younger days. They put on a great show and we abolutely loved our date night! Thanks baby for reminding me how cool we used to be : ) You make me wanna role my windows down and cruise!

TRICK OR TREAT!

We had a blast this Halloween! This year Kenzie wanted to be something super scary. I guuess the days of princesses are long gone : ( She wanted to be a vampire but whenever people asked what she wanted to be she said, "I want to be a lady of the night!" Uuuuuum... no sweetheart, lets not tell people that ok? How about a vampire princess? Hilarious! Braxton was Rafael the teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, and he was bumblebee on a different night. Bailey was Princess Sofia and a lady bug (again).

I got to go with Braxton on his field trip to the Pumpkin Patch! It wsas such a great day! I am so grateful that I can do things like that with my kiddos!

This year we had been sick and super busy so I attempted to bribe my kids to avoid carving pumpkins. Yes, I am that mom. B took the $5 bait. Not surprising since the smell of pumpkin guts makes him gag lol. The girls pumpkins were a pretty quick attempt to appease them. I take no pride in my pumpkins this year haha. Oh well, there is always next year...

Bailey and I went to the kid's Halloween party and parade. It was so much fun seeing all the kiddos all dressed up. Bailey just loves going to "school" with the kids!

Rich got to go with us to the local High School's Trunk or Treat! He always has to work late on Halloween so we were really excited he got to do some tricking and treating with us this year! On Halloween the kids and I hit the jack pot at the mall trick or treat event, then we went to the library and did crafts and played games. The weather was terrible, freezing cold rain, but the kids were dying to go door to door in our neighboorhood so they braved the cold, wet night and did some hard core TorT! I was glad they were done after 6 or 8 houses. It was SO COLD! We had a fun night and got more candy than we have EVER gotten!

Aaaaaand some random pics from October... Life-Size spider web, squishy kisses and leaf pics.
And Bailey being Bumblebee because she is goofy : )

Apple Pickin'

I love fall! I love the weather, the leaves, the smells, the pumpkins and the APPLES! The Doellman's came in town for the weekend and we went to an apple orchard! We went on a hayride, played in the corn maze, played on the playground, checked out the pumpkin patch and picked our own apples! I wish grocery stores were like apple orchards... you can sample the goods, as many as you want, before you bag them and pay. The kids took FULL advantage of this! I love the closeup picture of Bailey's face with Dylan in the background going to TOWN on a juicy Fuji! I almost deleted that pic till I saw D! McKenzie only picked one apple because she was terrified of the honey bees everywhere. She is NOT my child! Girly girl wussy kitten. Bailey was a PICKY bugger (BIG shocker). She would pick one and THEN fully inspect it. If it had a tiny bit of brown or wasn't the perfect color or had dirt on it she chucked it on the ground in disgust and moved on to the next tree. We had a blast and ate and brought home the best apples I have ever eaten!

My little children of the corn : )

Y - E - L - L !!!

McKenzie got to go to a Cheer Leading clinic at our local high school. The HS cheer leaders taught them a bunch of cheers and chants and the girls got cute shirts that said "Keep Calm & Cheer On". A few weeks later they got to cheer under the Friday Night Lights before the HS football game! Kenz was in HEAVEN! She had such a blast and absolutely LOVED it! In between the clinic and the game she practiced her cheers around the house constantly... joy LOL. Even Rich learned one because he heard it so much. It made Kenz so furious which, of course, made Rich do it even more. He would walk around the house doing spastic arm movements and chanting in his girliest, obnoxious bimbo voice... "Y- E - L - L". Bailey learned this cheer a little different... she walked around the house flailing her arms and yelling "E - E - R" ... not quite, baby girl... good try though. HILARIOUS! We are so proud of McKenzie. I have a feeling this will not be our last cheer experience.

A good friend of ours took this picture in the stands while we were watching the game. I just love it! Of course Bailey couldn't have a normal smile. Good thing even her crazy faces are cute : )

M'randa & Mud

My sister and I have awesome husbands! They convinced us to stop being cheap and boring and splurge on tickets to go see Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert! So we DID!!! We are both huge Miranda & Dierks fans! It was so much fun! We felt like silly teenagers again screaming at a concert and singing all the words at the top of our lungs! It was an incredible show, as expected : ) We failed miserably at picture taking. Amanda failed by bringing a dead phone to the show and I failed by forgetting my camera and having a sucky camera on my phone. The bottom pic, believe it or not, is the best selfie I could manage and it is NOT cropped at all. SO BAD! Oh well, still had a rockin time rockin out with my little sis!

The next day we packed up the mini vans with our picnic gear and headed to the creek for some sun and MUD! We caught guppies and splashed around in the cold water. The girls decided to collect muddy clay instead of guppies though, of course. Amanda took some great pictures! I love the serious guppy-hunting look on B's face, and Chris wearing my sun glasses : )

I am so grateful to live close enough to my sister and her awesome family to have some great weekend fun!!!

From the depths of my old cell phone...

I got a new phone! YAY! I found some great photos in my old phone that just had to be shared before throwing that old crappy phone in a box and forgetting it ever existed...

Walking a 5K around the lake by our house sounded like a great idea one HOT Saturday morning. I was wrong, t was not a great idea. The first hour was fun. We fed the ducks (I love the close up of Bailey's face!) Bailey kept saying "MOM those ducks are CWEEPIN ME OUT!" The second half of that walk was miserable after  Kenz & B refused to walk any farther. They literally sat on a bench and refused! Wussies!

Cards game with the whole fam! SO MUCH FUN!!!

Our favorite summer spot... catching guppies at the creek : )

Bailey riding a triceratops... no big deal.

I can't even describe how grateful I am to be able to be a stay-at-home mom and make special memories with my kids. Things like school field trips would be so hard to do if I had to work.  I got to go with McKenzie and her 2nd grade class to the Symphony! It was wonderful! She was ridiculously excited to get all dressed up in her "poofiest" dress and she was in awe at how fancy the concert hall was. I love my girly girl : )

Last, but not least, goofball Bailey! Her new way to annoy and entertain me at the same time... when I try to take her picture and I say smile that means "Make your weirdest, craziest face!" Here are a few of her most recent "smiles"...
