GOING TO THE BEACH, BEACHES!

Rich suggested that title. BAHAAAAA! Mini vaca time! Long weekend off…where should we go? Uhhhhh FLORIDA!!!! Back story – One of my very best friends in the whole world moved to Florida this spring and took her whole family that we love equally as much with her. I bawled like a baby and so did my kids. Upside? GOING TO VISIT THEM IN PANAMA CITY!!! Rich is the only one who had ever been to Florida. He went for a basketball tournament as a teenager. I LOVE GOING NEW PLACES! Plus we hadn’t been to a beach since B was a baby (San Diego). Bug has never seen the ocean and the other two didn’t remember it. To say we were excited was a massive understatement. MASSIVE! Teneill’s house was beautiful and they were nice enough (or crazy enough) to let us stay with them for the weekend and show us around! We spent most of the time at the beach. The kids were in heaven and so were we! The water was so clear and the sky was so blue and the sand was so soft and we didn’t want to leave EVER!!! We collected seashells, went body boarding, ate amazing seafood, built sand castles, caught tiny hermit crabs, got sunburned, ate some more, watched the sunset over the ocean, and did it all with people we LOVE! Playing with Teneill, Corban, Pepper, Lincoln, and Lucia made our trip ten times better! We also went to a really cool mini Sea World knock off called Gulf World. They had all kinds of amazing animals and even a dolphin show! SO MUCH FUN! Thank you so much Russells for giving us an unforgettable weekend for the Bowman Record Books! We love you and miss you already!

Hello Barrett! Goodbye Matt...

HE'S HERE!!! Meet Barrett Howard Doellman!

Born 10/2/2015 at 5:30 pm 9 lbs 3 oz 21.75 in long!

He is a big 'ol boy!

There is NO way I would miss this! Not for the WORLD! I have been very blessed to be able to be at the hospital when Rilea & Dylan were born so #3 was a must!

I usually hate that I have had to have 3 C-Sections but in the delivery room with Amanda I was SO GRATEFUL! She is so tough! Chris gets better at the whole not passing out thing with every kid too. HA! Maybe by the sixth he will retain his natural facial color all the way through the delivery LOL! He did awesome too. He is good at calming Amanda down and convincing her that she can do things she doesn’t think she can do. Funniest part of the delivery... Amanda looks down at the OB’s assistant, an OB resident, who is helping guide the baby out, and she loudly blurts out mid push “How OLD are you?!?!?!” It was hilarious since we were all thinking the same thing. She looked 15!

All joking aside, there is nothing in this world that compares to holding a newborn baby, ESPECIALLY when they are family. We were all choking back tears holding sweet Barrett for the first time!

We were so grateful Matt got to be there since he was leaving for his mission the following week!  This was a bittersweet family event. We were all so overjoyed to meet Barrett but we also had to say goodbye for 2 years to Matthew! That just plain sucked. I can handle goodbye okay but seeing my KIDS cry saying goodbye to Uncle Myshoo ripped my mamma heart right out of my chest! We are so proud of him though! 2 years will FLY by!
